Wies’n Ist Hier!

September 19, 2009

It’s like being throwed back to pre-industrial Germany when you enter a subway full of people wearing the traditional Lederhosen and Dirndl.

Oktoberfest was unlike anything I have ever experienced. The festival grounds are huge with several entrances sporting the famous, Wilkommen Zum Oktoberfest!

The Bavarian name for Oktoberfest is Wies’n.

St. Paul Church in front of the festival grounds

The Lowenbrau tent

The chaotic Olympic Rings roller coaster.

The Augustiner Horse Carriage

Hofbrauhaus Horses

Hofbrauhaus Wagen

The Spaten tent

A recipe for a messy day

    I imagine a subway 200 years ago.
